Our Story

Welcome to Beards & Daisies, a business born out of the love of flowers, Founder Jo started the business after sending some flowers to her mum and feeling underwhelmed with what she saw, the usual lily and rose combo just didn't cut it. After leaving her corporate career in 2015 she retrained as a florist and started the online business: "I spent my 20’s living on London’s Columbia Road where every Sunday I would buy flowers from the famous flower market. I was spoilt for choice and now I can’t imagine my home without flowers, not that anyone buys me flowers anymore!"

Our aim is to make stunning flowers accessible. Working with the seasons, we carefully select the finest flowers available, paying particular attention to new and less common varieties. Much like fashion our bouquets are trend led and scouring for the latest on-trend colour or unusual rose is what we love. In the summer months we try source as many British flowers as possible. Our look is whimsical mixed with ‘flowers gathered straight from the fields’, perfect domes of flowers we are not! Our team of skilled florists carefully curate your bouquet to include a broad selection of flowers and expect to see variations between each bouquet to reflect the changing of the seasons.

Favourite Flower? Forget-me-nots, so delicate and they represent a sign that warmer weather is on it’s way…

Why the name? After helping plan my sister’s outdoor wedding, we soon realised that all the men had beards; in a moment of sisterly madness we coined the phrase ‘beards & daisies’. It’s memorable and unorthodox and I'm happy with that!
