Echeveria are perfect plants for beginners - they're incredibly easy to care for and can still thrive even if you neglect them a little. They grow in a rosette shape and are native to Mexico and central and southern America.
This is a desert succulent from the Crassulaceae family, which is also known as Hen and Chicks. This is because Echeveria succulents grow quickly and produce offsets (clone-like daughters) called 'chicks'.
Care is very simple for these succulents - give them bright, indirect light, don't overwater and you're pretty much set!

Jo's Top Tip
Don't worry if the outer leaves start to look a little unhappy - it's normal for the leaves closest to the soil to eventually shrivel and drop, which is the natural cycle of a succulent.
