This tropical plant is found in forests in south America, Mexico and the Caribbean. It is part of the Araceae family and is loved for its big heart shaped leaves. Treat it well and you will be rewarded with beautiful pink flowers that have yellow spikes in the middle - a real show-stopper.
There are over 1,000 different species of anthurium and, in the wild, many are epiphytic, meaning they like to grow on other plants.
In their natural habitat, these plants can be found within dense, humid, forest canopy that protects their foliage from direct sunlight. So, for a thriving plant, replicate these conditions with regular mistings and keep out of bright light.
