The Aquilegia is a beautiful, spring-flowering, perennial plant - it may look tricky to grow, but it's very easy to care for! Their colourful blooms in pink and purple will not only only brighten up your garden, but they'll also invite bees and butterflies in, as they make great nectar plants for pollinators.
We love a multi-tasking plant, and the Aquilegia delivers as they make great cut flowers - meaning you can also enjoy this plant inside, too, admiring its blooms from a vase.
Aquilegias are happy in most conditions, but will appreciate moist but well-drained soil. They flower reliably each year, and you can expect to see these blooms from late spring onwards.

Jo's Top Tip
The Aquilegia is a self-seeding plant - this means it'll drop its seeds at the end of the season and when nature takes its course, they could germinate and grow new plants. If you don't want these popping up, remove the seed heads.
