Buxus trees are a great contemporary plant that bring versatility to many outdoor spaces as you can, quite literally, carve your own personality and flare onto them. In fact, they're a popular plant to try topiary with. They have small evergreen leaves that tend to look glossy and leather-like when the light catches them, and they can also grow little yellow flowers.
Buxus trees can have somber connotations, as their sprigs are sometimes given to mourners at funerals to throw onto the coffin.
The Buxus Tree is incredibly easy to care for, tolerating conditions where other plants may suffer such as drought and shade. Of course, part of its appeal is that it is happy to be trimmed and shaped to your own tastes, too. It works well both planted into the ground, or in pots for urban outdoor spaces.
