The Delosperma is a genus of succulent plants native to southern and eastern Africa that produce jewel-like blooms. They flower from late spring to early autumn, and this mixed variety will add a diverse range of colours to your garden. The petals tend to shimmer and shine, which has earnt this plant its common name, Ice Plant.
The flowers on the Delosperma Jewel will attract bees, butterflies and other pollinators to your garden due to its nectar-rich blooms.
In true succulent style, these perennial plants are very hardy and low maintenance. To see them thrive, position in a sunny, sheltered position and allow the soil to dry out between watering. Don't be tempted to overdo it though, as their leaves store water.

Jo's Top Tip
The Delosperma Jewel gives meaning to the phrase 'flower power' - it mass produces blooms so much that you may struggle to see its foliage underneath! Just remember to deadhead any wilted flowers to encourage new growth.
