This branching tree is recognisable for two features - its thick and sturdy trunk and its circular leaves, which give the plant its nickname of Dinner Plate Aralia. Although don't consider that an invite for your pets or little ones to eat off it, as this tree is considered toxic.
The Greek translation for Polyscias is 'many' and 'shade' - this tree's large foliage lets in very little light and creates a lot of shade.
Dry air could cause the Polyscias Fabian to drop its leaves, so don't allow it to get cold. As a plant with a tropical origin, it prefers a steamy, warm environment. Interestingly, this tree will release the majority of water you give it into the atmosphere, increasing humidity in your home.

If you have limited space in your home (translation - you've already filled it with an abundance of other plants!) this tree makes for a good option as it grows upward and is fairly compact.
