The Kentia Palm, otherwise known as a Howea Forsteriana
CONDITIONS: Native to Lord Howe Island, Australia.
LIGHT: Extremely durable and slow growing which makes it an ideal indoor house plant. Position in low, indirect light.
WATER: This plant loves balance. Only water when soil is dry to the touch. Mist weekly or if planted in a pot with no drainage holes, mist more frequently.
CARE: Remove dust with a damp cloth to unblock pores. This will help the plant breathe.
PETS: A Kentia Palm loves pets. This plant has been classified as non-toxic to cats and dogs.
FACT: Who’s the purest of them all? This is one of the best plants for improving air quality, removing toxins such as formaldehyde, ammonia and carbon monoxide from the air.
It’s not just our products that are green. 95% of our packaging is either biodegradable or recyclable (and we’re working hard on that last 5%, it’s just the pesky plastic top from our ‘anti-roll system’ left to replace). As a company we’ve made a concerted effort to switch to sustainable packaging, it costs twice the price but at least we sleep well at night!
