The Vinca Minor is a tough, low-maintenance, evergreen plant. It's a fast and vigorous grower with a creeping habit, and while it may have a tendency to take over an area, we wouldn't say that's a bad thing. In fact, it grows a selection of star-shaped flowers in shades of blue, white and purple, which creates a fantastic display and a ground covering quilt. Expect to see these blooms from April to September.
This plant takes its common name of Periwinkle after its flowers that appear in the colour of periwinkle blue.
Vinca Minor grows in partial sun and partial shade. It may burn in direct sunlight. As this plant has a tendency to spread out and fill an area, we'd advise spacing it around 30-50 cm apart from other plants. Besides from that, it's a
very tolerant plant and easy to care for.
