Phoenix roebelenii (Pygmy Date Palm) - Phoenix roebelenii
The Phoenix roebelenii is a compact, elegant palm with gracefully arching fronds fanning out from a slender trunk - it brings a genuinely tropical feel to a patio or conservatory without the scale of a larger palm. The pygmy date palm is not frost-hardy, so treat it as a summer outdoor plant and bring it into a warm, bright spot before winter arrives. During the colder months, ease back on watering and let the soil dry out a little between drinks. In the right setting, with good light and warmth, it's a very easy plant to live with.
