Beards & Daisies at RHS Chelsea Flower Show: Our Story So Far
Every year, when May rolls around and the Chelsea buzz starts building, we get a little nostalgic. There's something about this time of year that takes us straight back to the moments that have meant the most to us as a business - and two of those moments happened right there on the grounds of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Here's a look back at our Chelsea story so far. (We may or may not have got a bit emotional writing this.)

In 2023, Beards & Daisies exhibited at RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the first time. Our stand, The Plant School, was exactly what it sounds like: a proper schoolroom dedicated entirely to the joy of houseplants, we had chalk-written lessons on photosynthesis, propagation, and fenestration. Portraits of David Attenborough and Greta Thunberg watching over proceedings. A "Class of 2023" board. Vintage school desks. And, of course, plants absolutely everywhere!

Outside, we built a vertical pallet garden encouraging visitors to "grow your own," complete with a bee hotel, watering cans, and the same welcoming, hands-on approach we bring to our website too. The idea behind The Plant School was simple: we wanted to make plant knowledge feel accessible, joyful, and not intimidating. Just - here are some brilliant plants, here's what they do, here's why you'll love them. We were awarded a Silver-Gilt medal - one of the highest honours at Chelsea - and we're still proud of it to this day.

Two years later, we were back at Chelsea - this time in a different role, but one that felt just as meaningful. We were incredibly proud to be the official houseplant partner for The Sensory Retreat, a stunning studio space created by interior stylist and founder of The Sensory Home, Pippa Jameson. Designed around the five senses - sight, sound, scent, touch, and taste - the space was a masterclass in how plants and interiors can work together to make a home feel genuinely calming.

We worked closely with Pippa to supply the plants throughout the space, each one chosen with real intention. Lush trailing varieties that soften a shelf with textured rare and unusual plants that invite a closer look. Calming ferns and foliage that bring the outside in. It was the kind of project that reminded us why we do what we do.

"We've always believed in the power of plants to help people feel better at home," says Jo, our founder. "It was lovely to see that idea brought to life by Pippa at Chelsea in such a beautiful way." The Sensory Retreat went on to win a Silver Medal at the 2025 show. We couldn't be prouder to have been part of it.

Chelsea Flower Show is many things - inspiring, overwhelming, brilliantly British. But if you ask our founder, Jo, what her personal highlight is, she'll tell you it has nothing to do with plants. It's the Pimm's. Every. Single. Time.

Whether you've visited Chelsea in person before, followed along online, or you're just here because you love plants - we've got you covered. From easy-to-care-for houseplants perfect for beginners, to statement large plants that transform a room, everything we do is rooted in the same belief that took us to Chelsea in the first place: that plants make life better. Who knows. Maybe you'll see us back there one day!
