We've just launched something we've been working on for a while: a collection of greetings cards, created in partnership with British greetings card publisher Woodmansterne.
They're designed to sit alongside our plants and do what good greetings cards have always done: say what you mean, properly.
Why We Added Greetings Cards
Plants are one of our most popular gifts. People send them for birthdays, to say thank you, to mark something important, or simply because they're thinking of someone and want them to know it.
There's something about receiving a real greetings card alongside a plant that shifts the whole experience. It turns a delivery into something you remember, not just something that arrives on a Tuesday.
This Has Always Been About More Than Plants
When Jo started Beards & Daisies in 2015, it wasn't just about selling plants (or flowers, as it was back then). It was about helping people send something meaningful when words alone didn't quite cut it.
Plants felt like the honest answer to what people wanted from a gift: something that stays, and something that grows. Over time, it became clear that the plant was only part of what people wanted to say. They wanted to explain the moment, the reason, the feeling behind it. Turns out, a Monstera and a heartfelt note are a seriously good combination.
Adding greetings cards felt like finishing a sentence we started years ago. Not an add-on, but the natural next step in what Beards & Daisies has always been about.
Why We Chose Woodmansterne
We wanted cards that felt well-made and timeless. The kind you'd keep on display and cherish forever.
That's why we partnered with Woodmansterne. They bring decades of traditional card-making expertise and a reputation for beautiful design and print quality. We bring our approach to thoughtful gifting, and together we've created a range that covers birthdays, thank yous, celebrations, and seasonal moments like Mother's Day.
The cards are printed in the UK on premium card stock with real attention paid to design and quality. They're also fully recyclable… but we suspect they’ll become keepsakes.
How It Works
Our greetings cards are available to add to any plant order. Choose your plant, pick a card that suits the occasion, personalise it with your message, and we'll include it with delivery. If you'd prefer, you can also buy cards on their own (no judgment if you just need a really good birthday card and already have enough plants).
There's something fitting about combining plant gifting with traditional card-making. Both are about marking moments and giving something that lasts longer than the day it arrives.
