Quick and easy ways to refresh your garden for summer

You don't have to spend a fortune to update your garden.

Warmer, bright days are coming, so give your outdoor space a quick seasonal spruce up with these easy hacks.

Get painting

Winter can be harsh on wooden garden furniture such as sheds, summerhouses and fences. Give them a new lease of life and a quick refresh with a of paint. Choose a pastel colour such as mint green or china blue for ultimate summer vibes.

Make use of a mirror

Taking a piece of indoor furniture outdoors, like a mirror, makes for a fun and quick update, but also helps to create the illusion of a bigger space by reflecting light back into your garden. Genius! Just make sure your mirror is waterproof first.

Tidy up

Mow the lawn, trim the hedges, de-weed the patio and get the pressure washer on the decking – these may be the small tasks we love to put off, but they make all the difference to the appearance of your garden.

Create zones

Make the space you have work harder by dividing your garden into different areas. For example, allocate tables and chairs to a corner for drinks and food, or create a flowerbed that runs down a corner or column in your outdoor space.

Add some new plants

Well of course, this was always going to be on the list! From pretty Hydrangeas to classic Bay Trees, luscious grasses and leafy Windmill Palms, we’ve got the ideal plant to spruce up every outdoor space. Click here to shop our range now.
