The Baron von Solemacher alpine strawberry is a heritage German variety, loved for its dainty clusters of deep red, sweetly fragrant berries. Hardy and perennial, these charming plants flower and fruit from late spring through to the first frosts — often producing their first strawberries just three months after sowing.

Care tip:
Tiny strawberry seeds need patience. Sow on the surface without covering and keep the soil consistently moist — even short dry spells can affect germination. For best results, maintain a soil temperature of around 20°C.
