The pyramid form is one of the most satisfying shapes in the garden - clean, geometric, and unmistakably intentional. A Buxus pyramid brings instant structure to a patio, entrance, or border, and because it's evergreen it's working for you all year round. Grow a pair to frame a doorway or use a single specimen as a focal point in a pot.
Native to Europe, western Asia, and North Africa, Buxus sempervirens is slow-growing, fully evergreen, and very hardy. The pyramid form is achieved through careful, patient clipping over years - the plant you're buying represents real time and skill from the grower.
Grow in sun or partial shade in well-drained soil or compost. Clip once a year in summer to maintain the shape - late May to July is ideal. Feed regularly through the growing season; box is a hungry plant.
