Chionodoxa Luciliae - Chionodoxa luciliae
Soft blue star-shaped flowers with a clear white eye at the centre, held in loose sprays above narrow leaves. It flowers in early spring alongside crocus and the smaller daffodils. Low enough for gravel, rockeries and the edge of a path, and it comes back stronger each year.
Plant 25–50 under shrubs, in grass or in a rockery, where it spreads freely over time. A shallow pot takes 15–20 bulbs.
Not known to be toxic to cats and dogs.
