Clematis 'Polish Spirit' - Clematis viticella 'Polish Spirit'
The Clematis 'Polish Spirit' is a late-flowering climbing plant that carries deep purple-blue blooms from July right through to October - so it's earning its keep long after most climbers have given up. Viticella clematis are tough, resistant to clematis wilt, and hard prune in late winter without complaint. Thread the Polish Spirit through a climbing rose or over a pergola and it'll fill in beautifully. It likes its roots in shade and its top in sun, which is easy enough to arrange with a little mulch at the base.

Your outdoor plant will be happiest planted into the garden as soon as possible after it arrives, provided the ground isn't frozen or waterlogged.
Spring and autumn are the best seasons for planting, but with a little extra watering, many outdoor plants can also be planted successfully during summer.
Water well after planting, then continue watering regularly for the first few weeks while the roots establish.
Most outdoor plants are chosen to grow outside and can happily stay outdoors all year round. However, this does depend on the specific plant variety and the conditions in your garden.
