Fiddle Leaf Fig in Self-watering Pot

Fiddle Leaf Fig - Ficus lyrata

The Fiddle Leaf Fig is the supermodel of the houseplant world, and like most supermodels it has a reputation for being particular. Its huge, violin-shaped leaves grow from a slim trunk, and inconsistent watering is usually what upsets it. The self-watering insert takes that problem off the table.

Give it bright, steady light away from draughts, and pick its spot carefully because it dislikes being moved. It's toxic to cats and dogs, so best kept away from pets.

This one arrives planted into a self-watering insert, sitting inside the Elho Vibes pot. Made in Holland from recycled plastic, the pot does the remembering for you. Fill the reservoir and your plant drinks exactly what it needs, when it needs it.

One thing to know - your plant travels dry. When it arrives, fill the reservoir and give the soil a light water from the top. That's its first drink at home, and from then on you'll only need to top up the reservoir every few weeks.

Plant available in 3 sizes, in 3 pot colours.

• W12cm x H20-30cm
• W17cm x H60-70cm
• W21cm x H100-110cm

Plant height is measured from the base of the nursery pot to the tip of the tallest leaf when held upright.
