This stunning Hoya Linearis is native to Eastern Asia and Australia. The foliage consists of long, slender leaves on long hanging tendrils. This plant is perfect for hanging planters which will show off the cascades of green foliage. With the right exposure to light this plant will reward you with clusters of sweetly scented, cream flowers.
Light conditions: to keep this plant happy position in bright, indirect light to encourage the long, slender foliage of this plant to bloom. Occasional direct sun in the morning or late afternoon will be appreciated.
Neediness: relatively easy to care for, can be pruned if you wish to control the length of the trailing stems. Enjoys regular misting.
Watering: wait until the top layer of soil is dry before watering gently. Mist weekly. If planted in a pot with no drainage holes, mist more frequently. Make sure the soil remains moist but not soggy. Do not over-water and reduce water during the winter months.
Ideal location: bedrooms, living rooms and studies
Rate of growth: average to fast. The trailing stems can reach up to 1m in length.
Temperature: will be happy kept at a normal room temperature, do not let the temperature go below 10c.
