Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight' - Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight'
If you only ever plant one hydrangea, make it the Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight'. Huge, cone-shaped flower heads open lime-green in July, gradually fade through cream to blush pink as autumn comes in - so you get three months of changing colour from a single plant. The Limelight hydrangea is fully hardy, unfussy about soil, and responds brilliantly to a hard prune in early spring. The cut flowers look incredible in a vase, both fresh and dried. Reliable, generous, and a real garden stalwart.

Your outdoor plant will be happiest planted into the garden as soon as possible after it arrives, provided the ground isn't frozen or waterlogged.
Spring and autumn are the best seasons for planting, but with a little extra watering, many outdoor plants can also be planted successfully during summer.
Water well after planting, then continue watering regularly for the first few weeks while the roots establish.
Most outdoor plants are chosen to grow outside and can happily stay outdoors all year round. However, this does depend on the specific plant variety and the conditions in your garden.
