Nepeta 'Walker's Low' (Catnip) - Nepeta faassenii 'Walker's Low'
The Nepeta 'Walker's Low' is a garden classic for good reason. Soft grey-green foliage and long spikes of lavender-blue flowers from May through July, with a second flush if you cut the whole plant back by half after the first - which takes about five minutes and is well worth doing. Bees love this catnip perennial, it softens the edges of a sunny border beautifully, and it tolerates dry conditions well once settled. As for the cats: yes, they probably will roll in it. Consider yourself warned.

Your outdoor plant will be happiest planted into the garden as soon as possible after it arrives, provided the ground isn't frozen or waterlogged.
Spring and autumn are the best seasons for planting, but with a little extra watering, many outdoor plants can also be planted successfully during summer.
Water well after planting, then continue watering regularly for the first few weeks while the roots establish.
Most outdoor plants are chosen to grow outside and can happily stay outdoors all year round. However, this does depend on the specific plant variety and the conditions in your garden.
