Passionflowers always draw a crowd, and the Passiflora Amethyst is the most eye-catching of the lot - deep violet petals and the characteristic intricate filaments that make every bloom look like it was designed rather than grown. The Passiflora Amethyst is more tender than the common blue passionflower, so it does best on a sheltered, sunny wall or in a pot that can be brought inside before frosts arrive. In the right spot this climbing plant grows quickly and flowers freely through summer, and it's one that genuinely stops visitors in their tracks.

Your outdoor plant will be happiest planted into the garden as soon as possible after it arrives, provided the ground isn't frozen or waterlogged.
Spring and autumn are the best seasons for planting, but with a little extra watering, many outdoor plants can also be planted successfully during summer.
Water well after planting, then continue watering regularly for the first few weeks while the roots establish.
Most outdoor plants are chosen to grow outside and can happily stay outdoors all year round. However, this does depend on the specific plant variety and the conditions in your garden.
