Peach Anthurium - Flamingo Flower
Unapologetically flamboyant, these futuristic looking houseplants have waxy, heart-shaped leaves and will inject some brightness into any home. Flamingo plants, as they're commonly known in reference to their dramatic leaves, are said to represent happiness and abundance - the perfect gift!
Many people mistake this plant's colourful leaves for flowers - they are actually known as spathes, which are modified leaves.
With such an extravagant appearance, you may assume this plant is hard to care for, but it's very low maintenance. It's native to tropical rainforests in Central and South America, so loves humidity. It dislikes the cold too, so keep out of drafts.
This plant is also grown in a peat-free medium. Not only is peat free a better choice for the environment, but it's also better for your plants! Helping support growth and aid water retention - what more could you ask for?
