Pyrus 'Conference' Patio Pear - Pyrus communis 'Conference'
The Pyrus 'Conference' is one of Britain's most reliable pears, with long, sweet fruit ripening in September and October. The Conference patio pear is kept compact through grafting, so it's manageable in a large container or a small border - white spring blossom, decent autumn colour, and a straightforward growing habit. Partially self-fertile, so it'll crop on its own, but if there's another pear nearby you'll get a heavier harvest. Water well when the fruit is swelling and feed in spring for the best results.
