Scabiosa 'Mariposa Blue' - Scabiosa columbaria 'Mariposa Blue'
The Scabiosa 'Mariposa Blue' is a pincushion flower that keeps going from June all the way through to October - soft lavender-blue blooms on slender, wiry stems that move nicely in a breeze. The Mariposa Blue is reliably popular with bees and butterflies, compact and tidy enough for the front of a sunny border or a container, and genuinely easy to keep going: a light trim after the first flush encourages more flowers through late summer. Pleasingly drought-tolerant once it finds its feet.
