Snake Plant - Sansevieria Laurentii
A very hardy and low maintenance houseplant, they are very tolerant of occasional (unintentional) neglect! According to NASA it is one of the best plants for improving air quality, removing toxins such as formaldehyde, ammonia and carbon monoxide from the air, this makes it an ideal home and office plant. It has distinctive long upright leaves with yellow edges. Native to tropical West Africa from Nigeria east to the Congo. This plant is also known as Mother-in-law's tongue.
Snake Plants are happy in bright light or lower light and don’t need much water. Allow the compost to dry out between waterings and avoid letting it sit in water. It’s far better to underwater than overwater, which makes this a good option if you’re not always on a strict routine.
