A little about this Bulb

Six bulbs chosen to follow one another through the first half of the year, from green-tipped snowdrops in January to magenta gladiolus in June. Each variety flowers as the one before it fades, so there's always something in bloom as the garden wakes up. All six are hardy and can be left in the ground to come back each year.

Some bulbs in this collection are toxic to cats and dogs if eaten.

43 bulbs included: 10 Green Snowdrop, 12 Crocus, 5 English Bluebell, 3 Camassia Cusickii, 1 Allium 'Globemaster', 12 Byzantine Gladiolus.

How to Grow

  • Each bulb suits a slightly different part of the garden, so plant them where they'll do best rather than all in one bed. A good general rule is to plant at two to three times the height of the bulb.
  • Green Snowdrop and English Bluebell: under trees, shrubs or in a shady border, around 10cm deep
  • Crocus: in grass or at the front of a sunny border, around 8cm deep
  • Camassia Cusickii: in the middle of a border where the soil stays moist, 10–15cm deep
  • Allium 'Globemaster' and Byzantine Gladiolus: in full sun towards the back of a border, 15–20cm deep for the allium and 10cm for the gladiolus
  • Plant snowdrops and crocus as soon as they arrive, and the rest any time before the end of November.
