This hardy houseplant has very pretty heart shaped foliage, hence the name! This is a vine type plant which grows long, wispy trails. Native to South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. A low maintenance houseplant that is good for new plant parents.
Light conditions: indirect, bright light. Ideally allow the plant to receive a few hours of sun each day (although not all day as the leaves will burn).
Neediness: an easy to care for houseplant, as it is a semi succulent which stores water in its stems and leaves. It's much more tolerant of dry soil than wet.
Watering: keep the soil lightly moist throughout the warmer months and it can be treated like a succulent so do allow to dry out between watering. During the winter months the plant is dormant so water much less frequently.
Ideal location: bedrooms, living rooms, corridors and studies
Rate of growth: fast growing. The trailing vines can grow up to 2m in length.
Temperature: keep at a normal room temperature
Pets: this plant is non-toxic to cats and dogs.
Sizing: Small W8cm x H/L35cm (pictured), Medium W11cm x H/L20cm, Large W14cm x H/L 35cm
Also known as: Ceropegia Woodii, Rosary Vine
