The Patio Orchard - Malus domestica 'Elstar', Prunus avium 'Regina', Ficus carica 'Little Miss Figgy'
An orchard sounds like something that requires acres of countryside and years of patience. It doesn't. It requires three good pots, a sunny spot and these three compact, beautifully productive patio fruit trees.
The apple, the cherry and the fig. Between them they cover everything from the first blossom of spring to the last harvest of autumn. Cherry blossom arrives in April, apple follows in May, and then the fruits come in glorious succession from July onwards. The cherry ripens in midsummer - sweet, deep red and worth eating straight off the tree. 'Little Miss Figgy' in August and September, her compact form laden with fruit. The apple rounds things off in autumn, crisp and honey-sweet and entirely worth the wait.
All three are bred for pots and small spaces. All three actually fruit. That last part matters more than you'd think.
Suitable for large containers. Full sun preferred. Protect blossom from late frosts. Cherry harvests July, fig August to September, apple September to October.
Our 'With Pots' option is paired with perfectly fitting terracotta pots. Pot substitutions may be made based on availability.
